The Access to Capital for Entrepreneurs (ACE) Women’s Business Center works exclusively with women, minorities, and low-to-moderate-income entrepreneurs to provide financial education and training. The organization provides resources for women entrepreneurs at all phases of the business life cycle.
History of ACE Women’s Business Center
CEO Grace Fricks founded ACE in 1997 in rural North Georgia. The need for helping entrepreneurs in Atlanta was growing and ACE was a valuable partner throughout this growth. The organization spent 25+ years expanding across the peach state, giving loans to businesses that seek to make a positive community impact. Today ACE is located in 68 counties throughout Georgia.
Funded in part through a cooperative agreement with the U.S. Small Business Administration, the ACE Women’s Business Center delivers business advancement assistance to African-American women and Latinas and offers services in English and Spanish. The first Women’s Business Center was launched in 2017 in Gwinnett County, the Southeast’s most diverse county. In 2021, ACE opened a Women’s Business Center in downtown Savannah. The office is conveniently located in Savannah State University – Graduate School, a historically black university (HBCU).
