Buy Local is a Savannah-founded membership organization that encourages shoppers to buy from local, independent stores. The organization works with the intention of keeping revenues and expenditures in the local economy.
History & Overview of Buy Local Savannah
The non-profit began in 1999, founded on the belief that supporting local stores strengthens the local economy. More than 150+ businesses make up the membership organization today. When these Chatham County companies in turn do business with other local companies, revenues and expenditures remain within the local economy, directly supporting and improving our community both economically and socially. Buying local is an act of advocacy that makes our community stronger.

- Networking Events – Buy Local Savannah hosts a popular monthly luncheon at various locations around Savannah. The event typically takes place on the 4th Thursday of every month and features a business expert speaker. The cost to attend includes lunch.
