The Hilton Head Island-Bluffton Chamber of Commerce’s (HHIBCC) mission is to stimulate the regional economy while enhancing the quality of life for all. Its purpose is to give members a tangible return on their chamber investment and make the Lowcountry a premiere place to live, work, and play.

History & Overview of Hilton Head Island-Bluffton Chamber of Commerce

Founded in 1957, the Hilton Head Island-Bluffton Chamber of Commerce has steadily served as the voice for regional business in southern Beaufort County. HHIBCC focuses on ensuring its board is diverse and equitable with representatives of key area industries and professions to make sure that the community needs are put first by the members and the regional business community. Today it serves 1,350 members and grows relationships with the public/private partnerships they have.

HHIBCC is a 5-Star accredited Chamber of Commerce by the U.S. Chamber, making it one of the top 1.9% of chambers nationwide. As well as earning the National Chamber of the Year award three times from the Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives, the HHIBCC is also one of the 200 Destination Marketing Organizations accredited by Destinations International. This means that they help with marketing efforts for the area to grow and utilize the tourism and hospitality industries in the area.

Hilton Head Island-Bluffton Chamber of Commerce Services and Programs

The HHIBCC focuses on four main cornerstones for the services and programs: connecting, growing, saving, and learning.

  • Connect – HHIBCC hosts more than 100 events every year to help members build business, network, and learn.
  • Grow – Members receive publicity and exposure.
  • Learn – The chamber offers a number of educational seminars and programs to increase knowledge and foster success.
