techSAV is a community of innovators, designers, and technologists with a passion for building better products and growing an integrated tech community in the Savannah area.
History & Overview of techSAV
The organization began in 2017 with leadership from co-founders and techies Kevin Lawver and Yvonne Jouffrault, who wanted to grow a community that would foster a sense of belonging for other entrepreneurs and technologists in the Savannah area. techSAV grew over the years, offering new ways for business owners and like-minded techies to get together and grow through shared experiences.
Programs & Events Offered by techSAV
techSAV serves the local community through events and connectivity.
- Slack Group – The techSAV Slack group is robust with over 500 members from the Greater Savannah area. Members use the group to communicate about job openings, share their resumes, announce business ideas and opportunities, and stay in-the-know about the communities upcoming meetups.
- Meetup Group & Calendar of Events – techSAV hosts events that bring the community together in-person. Their monthly Tech Tuesday event happens on the second Tuesday of every month from 5:30-7:30pm at a bar or restaurant in Savannah.
- Educational Opportunities – Throughout the year, techSAV hosts various educational events like the local chapter of codebar (code education for adults) and lunch and learns.
